Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka and is the garden city of India, has been categorized as "class A" city. It is a well planned city with a number of parks, gardens and lakes. It also called the Silicon Valley of India because of the more number of IT companies. The city was founded by Kempegowda who laid the foundations of this city around 1537 AD.

With its moderate and pleasant climate, beautiful gardens and parks, natural lakes, historical monuments, shopping malls, fine restaurants and pubs, business opportunities, Bangalore has become one of the never miss tourism spots in India.

Bangalore city is located in the southern India in Karnataka state. Bangalore is situated at 949 meters above sea level. Bangalore is well connected with rail and road networks. The climate of Bangalore is moderate and pleasant. The climate in summer is mild (April-June) and the climate in winter is cold (October-February). The city experiences monsoon rains in south-west from June to August.

Few tourism attractions in Bangalore:

Vidhana Saudha: The Vidhana Saudha is famous landmark of Bangalore; it is the seat of the state legislature of Karnataka. It is an imposing granite building, built in the 'Neo-Dravidian' style, incorporates elements of Indo-Saracenic, Rajasthani Jharokha and Dravidian styles.

Bull Temple: The Bull temple is located at Basavanagudi and it was built by Kempe Gowda, it is reminiscent of the 16th century Dravidian style architecture. It has a huge granite monolith of Nandi.

Lalbagh: The 240-hectare park is home to over 1,000 species of flora. Lalbagh also has a glass house. The park is known for its annual flower show in January and August. The garden surrounds one of the towers built by the founder of Bangalore, Kempe Gowda.

Cubbon Park: is located in the center of the city and it has spread over 300 acres. The Cubbon Park was founded in the year 1884, by Major General Richard Sankey. It is named after Sir Mark Cubbon, Commissioner of the older Bangalore. Lalbagh and Cubbon Park are the two important attractions of Bangalore since long time.

Halasur Lake: One of the most visited destinations in Bangalore, a boat or swimming in the pool nearby. Small islands dotted with green stand in the lake, making it a place of ideal picnic.


How to reach Bangalore:

Airport: Bangalore International Airport is located at Devanahalli. It is located at a distance of 40 km from Bangalore city.

Railway Station: Bangalore city railway station is the main railway station of Bangalore city. The city also has other railway stations at Cantonment, Yeshwanthpur, KR Puram, etc. There are number of daily trains from Bangalore to other cities of India.

Road: National Highways connects Bangalore to Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai other cities and towns of Karnataka and other neighboring states. The main bus station Kempegowda Bus Station (KSRTC and BMTC) in the city is opposite to city Railway Station.
